There's nothing like getting off the grid. We've done some epic hikes as a family. Most of our favorites are in Oregon's Central Cascades, but there's plenty of hiking more local to us in the Adirondack and Catskill ranges, too. Here are some of our favorite hike reports!

Tumalo Falls
Horseback riding at Black Butte Ranch, visiting friends at Northwest Crossing Farmers Market, lunch at Sunny Yoga Kitchen, hiking at Tumalo Falls, and delicious beers at Worthy Brewing.August 17, 2018
Broken Top and No-Name Lake
Expansive views of Broken Top were before us and to our side for much of the hike. We crested the last rise before No-Name Lake just after just 2 miles of hiking. It was breathtaking.August 16, 2018
Mount Bachelor
It may have been the wrong season to hit up a ski resort, but Mount Bachelor’s summit was too close for us to ignore during this hiking season. Plus: Cuppa Yo and Bend’s Brewfest.August 15, 2018
Green Lakes
We chose to take it 'easy' today. We opted for Green Lakes: it's a hike we’ve done several times before that has a big payoff for less effort.August 14, 2018
Pole Creek to Camp Lake (2018)
We kicked off our week in central Oregon with a hike from Pole Creek Trailhead to Camp Lake, followed by beers and nachos at Hop & Brew in Sisters.August 12, 2018
Cloud Cap to Tie-In Rock (Cooper Spur)
It’s a 12-mile drive up the access road to Cloud Cap on the eastern flanks of Mount Hood. This hike did not disappoint, and we finished the day off at Mount Hood Brewing in Government Camp.
